years ago, there was a guy in texas that sold a OTis unit - Oil Tamed integrated System for about a 100$

I bought one and put it in a Chubby that's hanging on the wall in my garage - it greatly changed and improved the ride of the fork - it had springs and an oil damping unit.

Lost his name when the computer crashed but if you try a search, you might be able to come up with an after market system

OP
Yeah, they don't make 'em anymore - it's a classic - - -

The Chubby is well past its prime. Back in the day, it was "the bomb", but these days you can get a fork that performs better, lasts longer, and weighs a LOT less for $75. I'd recommend an upgrade of your fork, but then, that's just me. I rode a Chubby in the cold recently and was reminded just how bad the elastomer suspension is when the temperature drops (just like a rigid fork).
