Grimjack - I can't log on to this site
« on: November 30, 2004, 01:44:12 am »
For months I haven't been able to log on to this site. I thought is had been discontinued, but obviously it is fine. I'm presently using my office computor. The problem must be with my home computor. Is it possible that my ip address was banned for some reason?

Hi there folks!  Long time no see.

Phillip, if you could provide a bit of information for me, it might help.

What browser are you using from home?  Internet Explorer?  Firefox?  Netscape?  Something else?

Can you try clearing your cookies and cache, and give it another go?

I can assure you, it's not a ban.  Unless one of the mods has banned someone without me being aware of it, we have never had cause to use the ban feature. :)

Thanks Grimjack and Kiwi. The problem must be with my computor. I can't even get this site to load up, so I'm not sure changing my password would help. It is a new computor, but accessing this site is the only problem I have with it.

Phillip,

Try this. Access site through work. Save the forum page and gallery page separately. Then email the links to yourself so that you may open and save at home. Log on to the forum page see if you can get on. If not, try the gallery page.

For a while I had the same problem. On occasion I can never get onto the home or gallery page. But I can manage to get in through the forum page, go figure. Some days no problem at all.

This may be utterly useless but who knows?

Another thing - check that you are using the correct URL from home.  I let some of the older DNS entries expire for the server this year, as everyone should have migrated to the idriders.com domain by now.

You need to be using this address for the forums:
http://idriders.com/cgi-bin/YaBB_K2/YaBB.pl?board=news

And this address for the main page:
http://idriders.com/proflex
