I dropped off my Mega Air rear shock at my LBS and asked them to order the Fox rear shock upgrade for my Razorback. This was back in APRIL!!! Everytime I call the shop I get the old "two weeks" bit that you all have probably heard before too. As a teacher, I love to ride in the summer. Chalk this one up as a loss. Please say a prayer for me so I won't lose my mind. Thanks for listening to me whine. [smiley=diaper.gif]

why dont you ask for it yourself? or take messurements and find it in ebay.......as a teacher you should know 'if you want something, do it yourself' and besides is not 'that hard'

Ask for the bike back. They are obviously procrastinating the work. There are so many people that do their own bike work. why not learn how to do it yourself. it would probably take you a day of tinkering but at least it will be done and you then can move on. I presume you will not have to do to much technical research. There are from what I hear two rear shock options depending on what year the bike is. Read through the posts. I bet you will find something.

Call K2 direct-get your story in order and I think your shock will be there ASAP and your LB$#^S*#$ will be in hot water. The #'s are here on the Tech site.!

Good idea...I think I WILL contact K2. I have an '01 Razorback frame which will only accept a Noleen rear shock. I have to get a special strut from K2 to fit the Fox shock (never seen this strut on ebay). I contacted K2 before even going to my LBS, but I was told that I had to work through a dealer to get this strut/ shock upgrade (bummer). Don't get me wrong, I don't mind doing the work myself, but I have to get the parts first. I don't know who's dragging their feet; K2 or my LBS, but I suspect the latter. I'm starting to wish I'd just bought a new steel hardtail frame. I've waited this long, I guess I'll just hang in there. Thanks for the advice guys.

Sounds familiar. I had swopped for a K2 stay and fox shock and found that the stays were misaligned. K2 knew of this and I brought the unit to a dealer, 3 weeks ago. They just notified me and told me that it will be another 3 weeks. They are re-manufacturing the stays. I'm going to contact them t see whats up. Good luck.
