Welcome to the new and improved Proflex / K2 Tech Forum!
A couple of my mates over in Ross on Wye have Whyte 46's, and they are good. But read the latest MBR, where 6 decent bikes are tested. The Whyte 46 gets 9/10 due to 'flexy' Mazerick fork, whereas the Specialised Enduo Pro gets 10/10.My Oz-M fitted with a 2½" stroke Fox Vanilla gets a super smooth 6" travel on the rear. And with a Ti spring is several ponds lighter than the Whyte etc.Go test a Whyte and let us know what you think!Oz-Sub
Simon,So what I gather is that just like the other VPP designs, it locks out under power by rotating the links verticle. But when it hits an obstacle horizontally the links rotate rearward and can absorb terrain. But what about drops and jumps? My take is that the secondary link pulls back the primary link in order to then compress the shock. This takes time, but could be chalked up to initial compressing resistance consistant with threshhold valving. Yes?Hurry up and buy one so you can test ride in the Afans. Then strip the paint and polish and put Proflex stickers on it. [smiley=laughing.gif]Terry
I know I should love Specialized and there great bikes BUT and I don't know why I just don't like them,
ya know, these Whyte 46's look an awful lot like Marin bikes. any connection? [smiley=groucho.gif]
