Just bought a 957 frame.........ideas wanted

I need an adapter to install my Avid mechanicals. If anyone knows of one cheaper that GBP $32 (USD$65!!???) I'd be indebted to them...don't have alot of money...most of the parts are coming off of friends bikes as they upgrade It came with a Marzocchi Z1 bomber fork, raceface turbine crankset, synchros stem and seatpost, raceface headset, ritchey BB. I am putting an SRAM 9.0 rear and XT front derailleur, rhynolite disc wheelset, SRAM shorty gripshifters, SRAM 9.0 levers. Not sure about the fork....may need an adapter for the disc brakes on front. If anyone has some cool tips (read: cheap) I'd love to toy around with ideas. Would love to get the bike as light but also durable as possible (I know, the wheelset and fork aren't the lightest...) I'm thinking about carbon risers (when I have the $$) but they probably won't shed too much weight. Has anyone ridden the Love semi-tubless tires? Cool idea...why aren't they around anymore? I picked up a cheap pair...any feedback? I borowed a 957 in 1998 and loved it but was poorer back than and couldn't shell out the dough. I owned a giant NRS 1 for about 2 seasons in 2001-2002 but sold it and haven't ridden much since then. Anyone care to give me the scoop on the 957 compared to some of the newer FS designs?
thanks

If your Z1 is from 97 or 98 then you'll probably need a FS to IS adapter (formula standard to International Standard).
How do I tell? I can hear you asking...
FS had 4mm through holes 48.5mm between centers. And IS, which is what your avids will be have 5mm holes with 51mm between centers.
And no... you can't just drill them out larger and get it all back on a MMC positional tolerance thing, as the spacing and angles are different from the wheel centers.
Picture is linked below.

For the rear you will need a 97HH adapter.
If you buy a pair, (front and rear) then I can do a deal for cash!
Email me with a picture of the front disc mounts and I'll let you know what you need, and we will sort out something for you.

Hi Folks, I just bought a proflex 957 in mint condition with the Carbon Crosslinks and and full up to date xt/xtr components in frame size 'Way Big'. I took it out for its first run in The Hills in Scotland came off once and knocked the top tob off a rock and dented it. I'm Gutted ! I've only had it two weeks and paid 710 uk Pounds for it. If anyone has a Frame this size in good condition but with a broken swingarm that wants to sell it please mail me.

How big is the dent? I have a small one in my top tube....no worries! I ride my bike HARD and have it set-up as more of a freeride bike (it's a 957) and I'm not worried about the structural stability of the bike.
