I have a Proflex Animal frame with original derailers and crankset I'm looking to sell. It's red and I believe it's a 95 or a 97. Email and I'll send some pictures of it

Not a good advert for the "new" PRO~FLEX's !

I wonder if he bottomed the suspension and the swing arm impacted onto the seat tube and sheared it off at the bottom?

I can't think how else it would crack there!

A: Could be possible that the top rocker pivot might of pulled a little to hard on the seat tube on full compression?
B: But would the shock bottoming out prevent that?
C: Tubing to thin,could do with a gusset...

Finally are proflex still trading? Website has been a little quiet $:-\$

What 856 bits have you got going ? Could do with some pivot top hats

Also looking for a vector 2 (late) top damper mount casting (nos or as new) and a one piece lower link ?

Found another fork and shock on epay. Should have Noleen on both ends pretty soon as a result. The fork has no shock or steer tube but I have all that in the stash. What it does have is primo looking legs with good decals and the billet top clamp/shock mount. I may still give milling one of those a try though.

I have a Large Oz/4500/5500 frame that I'd like to swap for a Medium.

No problems with mine, I just want a medium to build up for the missus, over this Autumn/Winter.

Here's how to measure it if you're unsure (There's only 1" difference in top tube length "A" below)

SIZE "A"
MD 22.13" 562mm
LG 23.11" 587mm

Hello all,

I'm narrowing my collection a bit and have 2 856's to post for sale...

- large, red 856 ("Factory test" frame & fork)
frame in very good cosmetic condition
no dents or more than minor scratches
currently with all XT and a silver Raceface crank, but I may swap parts to sell better items separately
Noleen coil shock on the rear
ODS with coil on the front
right now these have Ti springs that work for my weight, but we can discuss re: the options
will sell just the frame & fork, with or without shocks, if needed

- medium, silver 856
with a mix of XT and XTR
bike was totally stock (with XT) when I bought it from the original owner last year
probably has 300 miles on it total
currently has the stock, later Noleen coil-over shocks on the front and rear
The rear was swapped with an NR2 I had laying around
Probably the nicest fork I've seen yet...very few scratches
Right now it has a set of very nice, barely used Pulstar-hubbed Wheelsmith wheels on it (Bontrager rims)
will sell just the frame & fork, with or without shocks, if needed

PM me with what you're thinking re: fitment and parts needed. I don't have a problem breaking these complete bikes down, as I'll just sell off the parts on eBay...but I do want to see the frames go to good use. Pictures forthcoming.

Terry, rest assured that I'll be keeping & coveting the 956... :-P Just snagged a set of Zipp 515 rims for it...and I still have my 4000 and my wife's 955.

I'm located in Falls Church, VA, USA...I'll ship smaller parts to Europe, no problem.

maybe kind of last minute, but I didn't see anyone mention that pretty much all the RK repair kits are up on ebay from we-sell-xs. I'm new here, so I don't know if the kits are commonly available. I just built up a more or less NOS 957, so I bought some spare stuff
