question about my smart shock
« on: February 14, 2004, 05:34:14 am »
i have a smart shock on the rear of my 1000. i was playing around with it today and noticed it looked like it has three different settings. is this true or are the three positions something else?

Are you talking about the three buttons on the side of the electronic box? If so, the three compression damping positions are firm (looks like a mountain with a point), soft (looks like a mountain with a groove in the top), and smart (with a light bulb on it). Never really found any reason to use any setting other than Smart on mine, but then, I never really noticed much of a difference between the settings anyway.

yes thats exactly what i'm talking about. i bought the bike new in 99 and just picked up the shop from a local dealer that used to be a k2 dealer. it was sitting on a shelf in the back. paid him 75 bucks for it. figured i'd give it a go and noticed the settings.

                       thanks matno
