noleen NR2 for sale......
« on: January 25, 2004, 08:01:59 am »
I have the NR2 that came out of my discomonkey, with virtually no use, since I repalace it almost immediatly with a vanilla, if anybody wants it (its a good shock, just a little hard for my riding style) let me know, (I need to clean my garage)

Would it be worth while for me to get as a spare or would most people recommend upgrading if/when the NR2 on my evo dies?

I have been curious about the difference a shock can make and what is available for these bikes.

Does anyone know if there is an old discussion in the archives about this?

When I built up my DM I swapped out the NR-2 for a Stratos Helix Pro. After 6 mo. of use the Stratos lost its lockout so it went to Stratos for repairs. I installed the NR-2 and found that it wasn't as bad as many said. I sold the Stratos and still have the NR-2. That 8.25"  length really limits shock selection.

well its like this, I upgraded right away to a vanilla R, so I never got the chance to test the NR2, I did it because the fox has tech support, now I upgraded again to a RC propedal  :), but since you have a NR2, this would be your spare, and since they are not that bad at all, you have to consider; you are doubleing the live of your current shock, and where are you going to get a shock like this??? worth it? how much is it worth it for you?
