Take a look in my gallery. I've filled it with heavier weight oil to see how this effects the rebound characteristics - will update once I've taken it for a ride.

Nice looking riding area and ride too-I like how a telescopic fork, air shock, and disc clean up the Oz look, causing the framset to stand out even more.

Carbonkiwi can you tell me how you got your genesis apart? Did you have to replce the seals when you re- assembled?
I need to pop mine open to see how the eyelet end is attached to the shaft! and i dodnt have one of the fancy risse machined bearing spanner!
Cheers dean.

hey Dean, quite a timely question really - just took it apart again last week. ok: put it in a vise and just attacked it with a large spanner. nope - didn't have to replace any seals - they were fine. from the look of it the shaft is threaded to the eyelet end - but i wasn't keen to verify this. the reason i took it apart again was because the main seal seemed to have changed. by that i mean instead of it sitting flush against the shaft there was a gap, and it seemed to be stiffer - almost as though the lip had been sucked in. upon taking it apart we could hardly move it up and down the shaft! anyway, have since re-filled with oil and popped a lizard skin around it and it feels like it's back to normal. haven't actually checked to see if the seal has settled down again, but took some pics of it for Kevin at Risse which i'll email to him and get feedback on. will keep you informed...
