Well let sleeping dogs lie?
I will be honest. I have been lax in riding lately and am guilty of not visiting the forum regularly. That needs to change.

Hi,
As a newcomer I appreciate the resource that this website is. I also respect that some of you have been working at this for a long time and sometimes change happens. If you do decide to end the run, I hope that you can give a reasonable amount of notice so people like me can download resources, copy helpful threads, etc.
Thank you to all who have put in time making this site happen!

this is version three of this website....the first one was a resource run by proflex/k2 themselves.I think we ran a yahho group or something for a bit.I seem to remember both attempts ended quite quickly but we all found each other again somehow.
January 2003 we started here....gulp

yep, took me a year (in 2004) before I had to track you down after the previous place folded... but there is no escape from the PRO~FLEX mania!
I've had my gripes about this site in the past, (hacking, power outages, upgrade issues, "piggyback" hosting etc)
but it's a great resource supported by helpful and friendly people and not plagued with the modern Social Media tripe.
I learnt my lesson from the earlier incarnations untimely deaths and always copy anything of use to my local machine!
I check for new posts about every week or so, and am pleased when I can help or point someone in the right direction.
My PRO~FLEX's don't get ridden very often as my regular ride is a Cyclocross bike now, but I can't see them all going up for sale at any time soon....!
Hey, hopefully, the site is low overhead and no pain to run, so at the end of the day, it's doing no harm...... and hopefully lots of good.
And finally, it's a great International Fraternity of like-minded individuals!

Hello all, hope you're well.
Its been a long time since I've posted on here but I would hate to think the site was no longer here. I do check in from time to time and intend to get more involved again. A change of job and the birth of my second daughter has taken up a lot of my time so the bikes have taken a back seat for a while. Any spare time ive had has been used for running and I completed my first Half Marathon a few weeks ago. My Proflex's are still very much my pride and joy and this site with its gold mine of information and community that support it is worth keeping alive for as long as possible, in my opinion
.

It's been a long time since I've been here, but there's such a familiar feeling at this forum that makes me confortable,
I'm not much into riding (kids take a lot of my time), but I sure miss riding the proflex.
Thank you for this forum!!

Happy new year to all K2 / Pro-Flex owners and members of this forum.
While hoping to acquire a newer bike during the year that just started I am not giving up on the pro-Flex platform.

Might make sense to make a Pro-Flex subreddit, but I'd hate to be the one to have to transfer all this material over there. Or maybe RetroBike.uk? I wouldn't like being a subforum on MTBR, though. The last time I posted about my Pro-Flex over there, some douchebag told me to hang it on the wall as a decoration and get myself a bike that isn't an antique. Someone really needs to implement a "bitchslap transfer protocol" for the internet; I'd have a lot of use for it.
Other than that, we might as well leave well enough alone. Why change what works? This forum is sleepy, but the Pro-Flex brand hasn't existed for 21 years, so that sort of thing is bound to happen. As long as people are riding Pro-Flex bikes, the information we have here is worthwhile. New people are still finding us.
