Blast from the Past!
«
on:
August 26, 2017, 10:28:42 am »
Just dug this out from under the house and thought some of you might appreciate.
I used to race this proflex both cross country and downhill (yes, downhill, that shows how far the sport has come!).
The rear shock transformed the bike and is fully adjustable from the handlebar.
I can't remember the brand. I think it's a Risse Racing. Does someone know?
I'm going to part it out to swap some parts onto my 10 year old's bike.
If someone might be interested in the shock, let me know.
Cheers.

Yeah, doesn't look like the current Risses but I looked up some photos of older ones and they are similar but I couldn't find an exact match.
I'm going to dig through some old files and see if I can find a manual.
It's interesting as it is well designed and constructed and still works really well. Better I'd say then some more modern rear shocks I've ridden.
Cheers.

Thanks kiwi for the useful info.
Wish I could remember who manufactured this thing.
Probably a niche company now long gone . . .
Cheers.
