It didn't wear out it shattered looks to have been an imperfection that allowed it to eventually fail. I have been looking into have it machined the best price i can get is $50 and even at that he said he didn't want to do it.
Thanks I will try that and see with the machinist forums. Also thanks for the lathe info too. I will keep my eyes open for one.

If you will do it for me I will beg, borrow or steel a Dial Caliper to get the precise dimensions. "lol" Richard
