Have a look 217m in at the bike that rides passed. Anyone know what it is? They definately thought out side of the box when they designed that top tube/seat post area. Does it flex to give some suspension or is it a hard tail?

That is a Softride bike. Basically a hardtail with a carbon beam to hold the saddle. Kind of like a suspension seatpost.

I will post a pic when I get home from work but my mate has one from the early 90's. He says riding it feels like you are going to be shot over the bars everytime you hit a bump.

Wow  I thought it could be something like that but the idea seemed to far fetched. So its kind of like riding catapult on wheels! NICE....
