Excellent condition..I beg to differ!
« on: February 09, 2010, 08:57:39 am »
Isnt it funny how some peoples perception of the term 'excellent condition' differs from others. I perchased a carbon crosslink off ebay a short while ago described as in 'excellent condition' but needing new seals. I stripped them down as they needed alot of TLC and play in the bushes was evident. This is what the bushes came out like. Im not complaining, it just makes me smile. Good old Flea bay..

How about starting a thread for the most mis-treated Proflex!

Sounds like the description was purely cosmetic. How was the rest of the fork?

Hopefully you have some spares to replace them. If not I can send you a couple.

To be honest the description was far from true. But after a bit of work they are looking pretty good now. I've stripped off what was left of the torn Noleen stickers, polished the carbon legs and rubbed back and repainted the ends in original yellow. The linkages were too badly worn so Ive just used the reconditioned carbon legs on my existing crosslink linkage, which is in sound condition. As carbon crosslinks dont come up for sale that often, Im happy and quite satisfied with my recon work. Thanks for offer of spares Willie B but Ill be fine.
