Seat Shim

Does anyone know if it's possible to use a shim to make a 26.8 seat post fit a 27.2 seat tube?  I've looked and found shims for larger size discrepancies but not one this small.  I did find some aluminum sheeting in 26 gauge (0.0157") but before I buy it I was hoping someone could let me know if they have done this before.

26 gauge won't work as you need to divide the diameter differences by 2, thus you need .007 shim stock.

U.S.E. makes a 25mm to 25.4mm rolled shim that you could spread open. That is the way I would go.

Thanks for the info and link Terry.  Ummm...yah...math was never my strong suit but of course that makes perfect sense when you explain it.
