Brake Therapy?

Hello all,
Just came across after seeing an interesting eBay frame that had it installed...seeing it makes me wonder if it would work as a possible means for installing discs not only on the rear of our bikes, but the front as well???

yes - these (or similar) have been around for a while - pop up on ebay from time to time, as you say. Never seen one on the front though - probably because the brake stud is on the other side of the fork to where the disk tab needs to be.

I have a version of this system made by Hope which has been moded to fit a 4000/OZ style swingarm. It came with my OZ when I bought it ,the dedicated hub didnt though. It is a fair bit heavier than a Hammer head but does look kinda trick. And you dont have to drill the dropout to fit it.

Might work for shovelon with his reverse vectors..
but that would move the caliper down making it liable to catch rock's an thing's
unless that bar can be shortened
Like the full sus tandem..

Yeah, there definitely seem to be a few issues with their specific product and our bikes, plus a little more research uncovered that you have to use their specific rear hub...but the concept in principle seems workable: a bracket that attaches to where the skewer attaches (ideally on the outside of the dropout to allow the use of standard hubs) with a linkage rod running to a secure and sturdy place. On the rear it could be one or both of the canti bosses, and on the front it could be to the bottom yoke attachment point or something like that.
