I might be wrong but the spring rate seems quite high at 400/450 for a front fork on that shock...

Yes, far too high.

I believe I have a 300 on my NR4 rear shock.

My LBS which is an Iron Horse stockist has tried to obtain new elastomers for my 856. Apparently Iron Horse have used up all of the old stock, and will no longer be able to supply!!

I have just had a response from Callum at RDS and he says that his stock of COR spring kits will be replenished in about 2 weeks time. Poeple seem to rate these kits highly, so this is where I will be going!!
