Who has the lightest or heaviest OZ?

Well, the old Oz had a great time in Moab, UT last week.  It performed very well on Amasa Back, Slickrock Trail and Porcupine Rim.  While there, one of my buds was unloading the bikes.  He turned to me and said, "after hefting your bike off the rack, I have new respect for you."  I have the Fox 8.25 coil oil rear shock and disc brakes on mine.

I place duability and function over weight, but I am curious to what others weigh in at.  Chime in if you have weighed yours and what type of scale you used.  I wonder about some scales at LBS used to weigh bikes.  I haven't weighed my Oz yet.

before i put my new forks on the oz it weighed just over 26lb but now i think is about 27lb thats without my risse on the back though.

With a Fournales and Swinger 2-way, XT cranks w SRAM shifters, Stans Notubes w Kenda Nevegals, Carbon bars and seatpost,  517/XT wheels, my digital bathroom scale comes in at 25.5 using both the body weight subtraction method as well as standing the bike on the back wheel.  With companies routinely cranking out 28-31 lb. bikes and saying they "pedal light,"  an OZ is NOT heavy.  Some of the latest XC offerings with longer travel are getting lighter, but I'll take the ride character of the Oz any day.

Got my large 4500 down to just under 25Lbs at one point,
currently its around 25.5Lbs setup for my son.

  Built up my Oz in 2002 with a weight of 24.2 lbs. Had it figured to be in the 23 lb range(advertised weights are BULL). But over the years of fine tuning and upgrade, and then steal light parts for my 957 project, it sits at 27.5 lbs.

Mine is 24.25 lbs right now (Large), on a LBS scale when I was in Perth, AUS.  The tiny guy who owned it before me had it at 21 lbs.  I remember the Bicycling article in which they built a 5500 and got it down to 21 lbs with NR-2s w/Ti springs.  They then out a SID fork and air shock on the back got it down to 20.5lbs.

I'm very sceptical of some of these claimed weights
(not those claimed here I may add)
20.5Lbs on 5500  , its no light weight frame to
start with.
I had sid Sl's(sub 3lb fork) light weight air shock,
XTR V's, machine tech levers (very very light),
Easton monkeylite SL bars (weighed just over 100g),
custom light weight XC race (non disc compatable)wheelset with Ti axles front and
rear and Ti freehub,DT swiss revolution spokes with Al nips,
very light Panaracer 1.95 tyres with latex air-b tubes,
Easton CT2 Seatpost,Ti railed saddle,Ti B/B,
Middleburn cranks (pretty damn light),XTR mech,
Easton EA50 stem,eggbeaters,Ti skewers,
Full Ti bolts throughout,
now that came in at just under 25Lbs on a set of
calibrated scales now there's noway I can see you
could reduce that by 4.5Lbs  
a pound or a little more but thats about it.

Well, the guy who owned it before me was on the weightweenies board and used to go to supergo with a portable gram scale ofr their sales.  But he was also tiny compared to my 6'2" frame.  So all those smaller parts add up.  And if I have the money I'm quite sure I could drop about 2 more pounds.  I didn't chose the lightest parts.  And Bicycling had access to the lightest stuff.  A Paul derailure was included.  I'm not sure if it was a Med or Large frame either.  It probably would have broke if I rode it.
