There was a grape colour frame and fork for sale on ebay about a month ago. Looked blue in picture though. Can`t remember having a cow about it myself . [smiley=disbelief.gif]

I have one!! I'll post some photos soon. I'll put another reply here when I've done it. Didn't realise it was that rare! I bought it off Ebay for £61 w/out shock. It looked blue in the photo, but it's actually a matt purple - perhaps it was the one Tel saw?

I also have a Gold Proflex XP-8 and an Orange X1 (that's the manufacturer not the colour orange!). Do I have lots of rare bikes?!!

Actually the one Tel saw, thinking about it, was one they'd sprayed themselves - the forks were black - right? My one was frame only and original colour.

bought this off ediscount--the listing called it "blue".  Guess my monitor was a bit off too.  When I picked it up at the post office and saw the "Grape" written on the box, I knew I had been duped! ;D

Carbon Angus,
My second 856 (the free one) came in that lovely grape (blue in the bright light) color that Kondi has.

As much as I liked the color - a lot - every time I looked at the bike, a chip would come off! Got tired of all the rubs and chips so I stripped 'er down to bare nakey aluminum. I miss the blue/grape.

Now when I sweat on the frame, I get really bad oxidation unless I wipe 'er down quickly.  [smiley=dead.gif] She has to be WD-40'd once a week! [smiley=doh.gif]

Here's a photo of my grape coloured one. Note I haven't got round to installing Willem's gold ferrules yet! Took this photo today when I went out with my 4 year old daughter who's on the trailer bike (out of sight!).

Hi chaps, just looking at ebayand spotted this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/proflex-857-frame_W0QQitemZ7238735807QQcategoryZ22679QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem                                           Is this the grape colour? If it is then it looks the same as my XPX fork and swing arm.
I hope this doesn`t cause Carbon Angus to have any more cows(or is this a good thing) [smiley=laughing.gif]
   Cheers Tel. [smiley=beer.gif]

Just been looking at that grape 857 on ebay and i think I`ve just had a bit of a cow myself (your right Carbon Angus a good thing ;)) I quite fancy it myself but will the large fit me, I`m 5` 10"? Or shall I get a saddle and try riding my new cow. [smiley=laughing.gif]
Cheers Tel. [smiley=beer.gif]

Everybody's different, but at 5'10" you should be just fine on a Large. My father in law rides a large '98 5000, and he's 5'8". I'm ALMOST 5'11" and I prefer my large to my medium...
K2 5000 Large w/Avid discs, Bontrager Race Disc Modified wheels, Manitou Minute, Swinger 3-way
K2 5000 Med ("wife's") w/Avid V's, Mavic CrossLink wheels, Manitou X-vert, Risse Astro-5
