Yeah? Really?
An airshock for a fork?

Uhm. U need the right i2i (210mm), the lower pivot needs to fit for the (what was it?) 12 or 12,7mm diameter bolt and the maximum diameter of teh shock must be narrow enough to fit between the legs.
And if the travel of the shock is too much the tire will hit the lower leg and you will go over the bar.
I don't know a shock that fullfills all those.

But persuade me!

If you find one tell it to me and I will get me one, too.

yep...I do know that RISSE makes one or two that work, but I was hoping that someone like Fox, Rockshox or Manitou made one that will work also.

Risse is the only company that makes a direct fit. It is the GENESIS. It cost $198. No other airshock that I know of fits. I am after one.

Frankd3000 did mount a cane creek on his but had to make an adapter.

Here is a link to a MTBR page for added info. Third post.

Thanks, for the info..I have a 1998 Crosslink ELT already and have modified it for disc brakes (see gallery for captainamerica) but the pivot shafts and links got a little "tweaked" so i bought a NIB off ebay for the links. I'll probably buy a Risse and drop it in.

Just wanted to confirm that nobody on this board has ever successfully installed anything but a Genesis without making modifications. If you've seen a Genesis, you'll know that it's a pretty narrow shock (the body isn't much wider than the shaft) because it doesn't really have any adjustments. Anything much wider interferes with the fork...

Matno has  a point.Next time you are close to your crosslink check out the space between the rear of the shock body and the lower headrace

yes  [smiley=nod.gif] and the genesis needs to set up right too for the x~link. most people (i am one), think that if you ride an x~link .....Noleen is still a very, very good shock.

FYI noleenshockservice also sells and services Risse
