96 Beast advice....
«

Recently tore up my bike really good.
Broke the rear shock(stock noleen coil over) and bent up the trailing arm that it attaches to.
I'm wondering if it's worth trying to fix with a new shock? I want to upgrade the front Chubby to another fork as well - are these upgrades worth it or should I start looking for a new(er) bike?
I'm also wanting to go to disk brakes if possible.
I'm sure you guys have been in situations like this before - would you rebuild it again or just start over.
Any info or links / suggestions on replacement shocks etc would be awesome.
Thanks.

Ive a 97 beast i havnt ridden in about 5 years or even set eyes on it until a a couple of weeks back...
I expected it to be knackered and looked at the idea of a new bike.
However for the money you cant get anything similar for probably £1200 +
Am probably going to have to service my noleen shock and stick a heavier spring on which is about £90, wanting to ditch the chubby forks and have looked at magura asgards and marzocchi mx comp eta which are about £170 max for 2005 model.
As for disk brakes worth looking on ebay
But i think as long as the frame is repairable its probably worth chucking money into still, as for the same kind of money would would only get a basic hardtail
