new cone adapter for my 856 installed

Hi friends, Juan Pablo is back.
I finished to machine the adaptor. This is very small because I want to make place to my new 7,5´´ rock shox bar. All the joint measure (eye to the base) 210mm. The shock work very, very well. All the joint is very very rigid, more than my previous adaptor and shock. The adaptor is made in steel, is more strong and rigid than the aluminium, but is heavier and more dificult to machined. Althought is very small and the weight is reduced to minimum. See my adaptor in:
http://idriders.com/proflex/files/PHOT0114.JPG
I changed my old manitou 5 fork too, with a cross link tall, My 856 is a new bike. In Spain is very rare to see a crosslink fork. In fact, my fork is the first that I see. I known vectors and crosslink in reviews. The crosslink is the best xc fork in the world for me.
Many thanks for the technical help to Simon,Sprucey,Will, Kiwi, Guman...Many thanks to all

Many thanks Simon, Yes, I received your shipping information, I´m thinking about it. I have heard you and others very very well about Oz´s, I love it too. I think that the sustitute to my Proflex, is other Proflex. And the OZ is perfect. My previous bike of my 856, is a 752 that I bought in 1993. Actually I´m trying to fix many problems (elastometers, derailleurs)..
Back to the term, my new Rox-Shock work very well, I think that the air shock´s are better than oil shock`s in the rear position. The bike perfomance is correct in all terrain. Maibe the problem that I have now, is the crosslink in technical downhill... but really its not problem,my proflex is a cross country bike, and the crosslink is the best in this terrain.

a few questions:
what were your final dimensions for the adapter?
What was the total mesure from top eye to bottom mount?
what was the itoi mesure on your shock?
why did you choose the RS Bar over other shocks?
I have not purchased a shock yet but I am intrigued by the possibility of having air in the rear(ha Ha).
thanks,

Dont worry, I can made the adaptor in diferent measures.
All the join ( top eye to bottom mount) have 210mm.
I talked with Simon, Kiwi, Sprucey... about it (See "856 with rock-shox bar rear"in the forum). The long shock is a rock- shox bar from ebay with a good price. It measure 195mm aproximatly. My old girvin ODS measured 195 mm, so my 856 has risen a lot of mm.
The performance is correct, better than before. The RS work very very well, I suppose that the risse shock work better, but with this adaptor, I dont only think in Noleen and Risse.

Hi - I'm also interested in an adaptor, 165mm eye to eye Fox air shocks seem readily available, but again I don't have an adaptor yet and would probably buy one after purchasing a shock to make sure it was the correct length - this is for a 957.
Thanks,
Ian
