How to burp an air/oil shock (has cavitation)

My Air/oil Straos XC pro shock I am sure is sufferin from cavitation (vacums of trapped air in the oil that collapse and cause the shock to make a high squelchin sound and loose their effectiveness).
Any ideas of what to do
cheers,

Burping the Stratos shocks is a messy job that requires a large can, ATF transmission fluid, and patience. The complete procedure is available on their website.

It is not too bad, but to get it right you have to repeat the procedure a few times. Use latex gloves unless you like the smell of tranny fluid. [smiley=upset.gif]
