Rear IS discmount plate for Carbon s/arms for sale

Had the opportunity to get a hold of some one piece alloy so remade the original rear disc mount. (well, gotta give myself the excuse to remake something - was getting bored!! [smiley=laughing.gif])
Am selling the older one for £5 inc P&P,
(heh, heh, like anyone is gonna buy it!!! [smiley=laughing.gif])
It works fine (ridden miles trouble free with it) but will need some reinforcement with bonding agent, mainly to stop any flex that could occur. You can used JBWeld (definitely recommended), or expoxy resign, or liquid metal (plastic padding brand - used this with my new adapter).
As with nearly all of these adapters this usually requires you to drill two holes in your rear dropout to match with the mounting holes. [smiley=diaper.gif] [smiley=laughing.gif]
It is a secure fit as the rear skewer passes through it.
However if sufficient bonding agent is used I reckon coupled with the plate being held in place by the skewer, drilling the drop out might not be necessary. ((See Will's gallery - he has bonded it without bolting I believe) [smiley=nod.gif]
It needs washers/spacers and bolts - (bolts easily picked up in nut n' bolt stores for less than £1 for 4).
here it is:
It looks like this when mounted:
If anyone is interested and doesn't have the patience or tools (and has a social life
) and wants it to play with let me know.
Here is mine: [smiley=nod.gif] [smiley=turtle.gif]:
I also have for sale:
[smiley=bomb.gif]Long xlink Easton alloy forks with an NR-2 adjustable coil shock (Nitrogen charged dampening) 225in/lbs shock. It comes with a front disc mount with a complete 2004 Magura Julie 180mm rotor front hydraulic discbrake (caliper and lever inc) for sale;
[smiley=bomb.gif]Girvin ELT legs,
[smiley=bomb.gif]Vector parts,
[smiley=bomb.gif]seatposts,
[smiley=bomb.gif]and an Shimano LX Mega9 31.8" diameter conventional downpull front mech
[smiley=bomb.gif]Tyres (IRC Mythos XC Kevlar bead foldable 2.10) and a 2.30 tyre (Kevlar bead)
I am in the South coast of the UK.
cheers [smiley=beer.gif]

Ps I'll throw in a brand new (with one mix used) tube of Plastic Padding Liquid metal and hardener which cost me £4 free with the adapter - (man I sound desperate
- not gonna use it for anything else now so why go to waste) [smiley=nod.gif]
cheers Dan [smiley=beer.gif]

Hi Neil,
great. Email me on
dbaverstock@hotmail.com
and I'll send my address.
Glad it can be put to good use with a little tinkering - would be a shame to just leave it lying around unused. [smiley=nod.gif]
Where you based?
cheers,
Dan [smiley=beer.gif]
