So give us a verbal.
If it is carbon, you can cut it down. Just use a diamond hacksaw blade, then sandpaper the cut. Did mine last month.

sorry, it is a titec Hell Bent seat post that is 26.8mm in diameter. I think that the recepticle of the seat tube of a 4500/4000/5000/5500/oz is 27.2 right? so is the 26.8 the right size? seems like it would be, but I thought I would check here first.

No afraid it won't fit
you require a post thats is marked 27.2, 26.8 would just fall in and you would require excessive clamping pressure to hold that tight, the ID of a Oz seatpost insert is 29.2 I know this because I've made up replacements (both me and sprucey have broke ours) checkout the replacement drawings I've posted in the files section,
there are some post manufactures out there that have shims to convert but I think in this case it would be more trouble than its worth.
Simon.

One "ugly" alternative is shimming a slim post with aluminum sheets. I did this in desparation while waiting on a new post.
For weight savings, I recommend using Coors Light beer cans.
