Off topic but just got back from London where I took my wife for the weekend celerbrating her 40th birthday (hence the lack of funds for the 856 project),you know how somethings just up the road but you just don't get round to visiting them, well I decided while we were their to go on the London eye,I was immediatly struck by the similarity it has to a cycle wheel (pic attached),my going on about this and pointing out the LEFTLY STYLE HUB and MIX OF 4 CROSS AND 2 CROSS SPOKE LACING started to wear abit thin with my wife
,think I pushed abit far when I asked where you could get a tube and tyre to fit [smiley=laughing.gif] ,having said that it is superb attraction and the view 430ft up at night was awsome.
Simon.

i got a chance to ride the 'eye' last time i was in london - stayed at victoria station hotel.
we went up about 10:00 at night and saw the city full of lights - quite an attraction.
OP
Below I'm posting my picture of the worlds biggest "THORN!!!"
(no direct attempt at a comment about the French but I'm sure there's some subconscious thing there somewhere)
