keep an eye on ebay they come up every now and then, search frequently for noleen, girvin and proflex, seperately of course, and be aware that both risse and stratos make shocks to fit the world cup frame755wc.855 throught to the 1000,2000,and 3000 of 1998,with animals and beasts of the same years also having the same shock fitment,All the 95 bikes would need a 96 strut to accept the cone end shock. If a risse is advertised for a different year bike than yours there are three different fitments and i am not 100 percent sure they are interchangeable.

Just a thought...

yep it has been done,a fox i think. You would need to start with a 7 and 1/2 or 7 and 3/4 so you would end up at 8 and 1/4.I am pretty sure someone did a pretty comprehensice write up with pics....

Here's my homemade adaptor: http://community.webshots.com/s/image18/1/77/1/204317701rvuIiB_ph.jpg

Not as clean as Deanos's, but it works.

I'm going to try converting it to a single pivot instead of a macpherson strut.  I need to get more travel out of a 1.25" stroke shock.
