I met a fellow mountain biker a couple of weeks ago who was riding a 5000 frame. It was silver. He had purchased it used. It was unique as the rear derailleur cable routes down the left side of the bike and crosses in front of the swing arm. The carbon swing arm had an "Omnium" or something like that tag and "Made in USA" on it. It also had no water bottle mounts behind the seatpost. Anyone know if this bike was a prototype or something?

I have one too-in yellow- and that is the American made frame not the Taiwan made found on latter day K2/ProFlex bikes. Mine hangs in the basement alongside the Oz, and I think the frame building shop was in Washington state too.
