I always wanted to try one of those frames, but the last thing I need, or would be allowed to get, is another cross country frame.

I wonder what the reserve is.

It is going to be hard to sell K2 stuff on ebay/mtbr while supergo is selling off the old stock so cheaply!

It shows how "marketing and style" drive what should be a practical decision-that certainly looked to be worth bidding on.  Wait wasn't there a breakage problem with that year frame?

He probably realized that while the XT and XTR rear derailleurs are functionally identical, the XTR front derailleur actually used a fancier "parallel plate" technology. I don't think it actually made much difference, though some people claimed that it made shifting in the front more consistent. I think Shimano stopped using the design though, for whatever reasons...

Depending on the reserve, that bike probably could have been bought, parted out, and sold for a profit. You never know...

This one was almost more shocking though. Brand new frame, fork, and stem for $280?! Sheesh!

There were no takers because this same exact (xtr rear XT front) bike is available at Supergo brand new for $999.99.

$1300 of retail!

How they can do this I don't know.
