Fork Poll: O3" Boxxer Race vs 03' Jr.T
« on: March 02, 2003, 06:46:22 pm »
What are your thoughts. Plusses/Minuses. I'm leaning toward the Boxxer, only because you can't run a tire larger than a 2.5 in the JRT >:( and I'm kinda partial to 2.7-2.8 tires :P. Really want to give the Michelin 2.8 a go. Seems like it's the [smiley=diaper.gif] for hella nasty terrain. Anyhow, what do you guys feel??

get a boXXer cuz u WANT the michelin...

if u can swing it the Manitou Slider DC fork is a outstanding choice aswell...

if yuor gunna go boXXer, the Team is worth teh extra cash...

but the Race is more then acceptable if a low price point is most important...

hope that helps....

the Jr-T is a decent enuf fork, but its lack of real tire clearance makes it a no-option for me....also u cant move the lower crown on teh legs anymore. its cyro-fit this year... :o

which means the fork is not as adjustable for headstack height as it used to be....
if i cry a tear everyday till A-line re-opens i'll have a lake in my house...8-(

Out of those, I'd lean towards Boxxer as well. I've heard some bad things about Jr. T damping on bigger impacts as well (ask Jm on the DH/Freeride board at MTBR).
