I am lucky enough to have both Hope Minis and a set of Formula B4 SL brakes (Sold to me for a very good price by Sprucey).

The hopes are excellent, dependable brakes.

But when combined with a set of Goodridge hoses the B4 SLs are superb, just stunning, cant say enough good things about them in use.

I have to add that I have replaced the Ergal Alu caliper bolts with Ti after shearing one off (I was very careful with the torque and the break looked suspicious) and I didn't fancy the others failing at 30 mph! And I didn't get on with the alloy hose fitting when I tried to shorten the hose length, but the awsome Goodridge setup solved that.

Oh and they look absolutely stunning in laquered Magnesium with smoked hoses. They don't pump up on VERY hard long DH runs, (they have larger pistons than the original B4, and now cooling vents in the caliper body)

I don't think this setup can be bettered.

Nigel .....

Two Proflex K2 5500 's, FOX Floats 100 and 80 up front, SID RACE and Float Talas rears, Spinergys, XTR, CT2s, B4 SLs, ti bolts, Next LP cranks, Ti Eggbeaters......
