Need help to restore my old proflex 857
« on: August 23, 2015, 03:33:34 am »
Hello guys, I'm from Italy and i own a very very old proflex 857.

Unfortunately i broke my rear shock (NR4 PRO FLEX PIGGY BACK REAR SHOCK) and on the Noleen site the new shock cost too much (329 $).

A lot time ago i saw , i don't remember where, that you can use an adapter to fit any (or most of all) "RockShock" rear shock. How is it call? and where can i buy one of these?

I had one made a while ago.
You can check it here: http://idriders.com/proflex/smf/index.php?topic=4238.15
The shock is a cheap suntour epicon. It fits the proflex quite well as there is plenty of room between top eyelet and shock body. The lockout lever and valve can rotate to whatever position you want. Very nice feature.
