Finally got an EVO frame!!!
« on: September 12, 2003, 01:49:12 am »
After quite some time of scouting for a deal, my new Evo frame arrived yesterday.  For $200 usd, I got a '99 K2 900 frame with the OEM coil shock AND a Risse Astro 5 shock.  Dude said he rode the bike a handful of times, didn't like the feel of the rear end (too squishy) so he stripped it down and went back to his HT.  The frame looks brand spankin' new and he had the swingarm powder coated black.

SO, my winter project will be building my first totally custom ride to debut at the 12 Hours of Razorback in Florida USA in February.

HOO-WAA!!   [smiley=laughing.gif] ;D [smiley=beer.gif] [smiley=beer.gif]
Pedal faster, I hear banjo music!

That's a good deal, especially with that shock.

Razorback, if you haven't ridden it, is probably the best mountain biking in the state. I trail ride there 3 or 4 times a year.  No pun intended, but actually a  Razorback (K2) would be more competitive at Razorback! The EVO is a great trail bike frame and will work for casual racing (if there is such a thing). I bought my EVO from a guy that had just started racing, mainly at Razorback. Guess what he was buying, yep, a Razorback. ;D Enjoy your trip to The Sunshine State (and Razorback).  [smiley=beer.gif]

PS. Maybe you'll get to see a real Razorback (hog). I almost hit one head on!
