I believe they work on the large/ way big frames. You have to spread the upper frame mounts about a 1/4". They are 8.5" iei wheres as the stock shock is 8.25" iei. The extra length will cause some geometry issues- head angle and BB height.

Yea, those will work just fine, I have one for my evo (although, I didn't have it when you and I rode in Jim Thorpe) It does raise the rear a bit, so your geometry will change slightly, but it is a really nice shock!!!

the funny thing about it is that since it is a slightly longer shock, you will actually run a slightly softer spring. While I had a 500lb spring on my NR1, I have the 400lb. spring (which came with the Vanilla RC when I bought mine) and that seems to be perfect for my wieght (190lbs.).

Are you coming up to PA anytime soon?
