656 headset bearings
« on: August 02, 2010, 09:12:59 am »
I have just purchased a 656 and it is a bit tatty. I need to know what headset bearings to fit, and does anyone have an exploded diagram of the head assembly.
the tube is 1"  x approx 7 1/4" long. The lip on the end is 1 3/8" ( 30mm )

Hi Roy,

If you look two threads down its all there for you with pictures :D. If you are refering to old shcool ball bearing inserts, I wouldnt bother. Fit a modern headset and be amazed how good you bike feels.

Yeah, just have a new headset installed. 1" headsets are getting hard to find, but they're not completely gone yet.
