Tirade Experience Anyone??
« on: July 03, 2003, 10:29:42 am »
I'd like to hear any feedback on the Tirade. I think the bike looks very nice. K2 did such a GREAT job constructing the EVO and Oz frames that we still seem to be riding them. My 1999 EVO is going strong and shows little sign of wear (excepting replacing the main pivot and drive train consumable parts). I'd like to get a new bike, but my wife would kill me. I love my wife and my EVO is as fun as ever. Still riding a two year old NR-2. No fuss, no muss. Dan.

Get a replacement rear shock from ebay,
fox Vanilla RC if you have a large frame,
fox vanilla R if your frame is medium or small
You'll pay less than $100 and your bike will feel like a different, (more lively, more absorvent) new bike. You'll notice more bobbing when you first use the schock, but you'll adapt and it will become unnoticeable. I am running my Vanilla R without any rebound.

yeh the van r feels good if you slow the rebound, hardly any bobbing.
i posted the tirade question before and it seems no one has ever ridden one! It is a heavy bike and the consensus seems to be that you can get a more heavy duty freeride bike in that wt category. For the money the Iron Horse bikes at supergo are amazing.
