Charity ride
« on: May 11, 2008, 10:46:10 am »
Not been around for a while, as ive been very busy with work, but ive also been in training quite a lot.  Ive posted here before about the ride im doing from Lands End to John O Groats, but i thought i would post again as things have moved on quite a lot.

There's now a website built...

www.pedaluk.co.uk

Im also arranging to do a one day ride on route.  This ride will be through Northamptonshire, i know there are atleast a couple of members here in this area, so if you want to increase the proflex numbers, it would be great to have you come along.  The ride will be nice and gentle, on road and probably be around 40miles (im still working on the route)

There are a few pics of my proflex on the above site if you want to take a gander at it, (complete with ugly looking skinny road tyres!)

Its a lot better now thanks.

Ive been doing a lot of stretching and that seems to have sorted it.

it was an i.t band on the outside of my leg, aparently quite a common injury with cyclists, occurs when start of the season training is done too hard too fast.

what time are you meeting on the 27th?
I hope to be along, but someone elese has just mentioned a weekend away in Wales, so possibly a conflict of interests!
Any chance of Multimap links for the start, mid and end points?

Im still finalising the exact route but briefly, it will start at the services in towcester, then work its way through the country for a while and into northampton, through to kingsthorpe and on to the Brampton valley way (probably lunch in the carpark or the windhover pub) then off down the brampton valley way to market harborough (bring lights for the two tunnells!)

It will start around 9am and finish...well.....when it finishes i guess!  ;D
