856 seatpost size

Sorry to ask a question that MUST have been asked 1000 times before, but does the 856 take a 27.2 seatpost?
I've got a 27.2 and it's too big!
maybe I'm wrong about the seatpost size, but I don't have calipers to measure it accurately.

Thanks

My XP-8 (which is a limited edition 856 essentially) has a 27.2 as does my 855 and both 857's that I have had.

All 27.2 .  A good cleaning and re-expanding the clamp area by a fraction should do it, as well as a small amount of lube.
