well the trusty old 656 (1989 ish) was geting a little tired , and although she got a drivetrain upgrade the MCU rears really did limit where I could go.
So i do a little research and i find on ebay........
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280099438825&ssPageName=ADME:B:EOIBSA:UK:11
Oz carbon jobby, now i might have paid too much , i guess that depends on how long all the shiney bits last for. They are all high end so should be OK. I might look into a disc front upgrade, as i prefer the modulation.
Will be collecting next weekend ,and hopefully enjoying throughthe summer.
Anyone else got one in the UK? Regards Rob

Congrats, Rob!
We know this bike. Swissnic put alot of care into it and seems to be top notch. I am so glad you found it.
I too have an Oz M. Have been riding it alot lately instead of my 957, but love the 957 too. For your information, I have the weight of my Oz under 26 pounds. Andrew(Frankd3000) has my Avid mech caliper and is shaving the housings to reduce weight. A new rear wheel, and rear brake is in the future, and should be able to break the under 25 pound mark.
Have Fun,
Terry

rob you got a good bike there, youve actually bought it from a forum member so i wouldnt worry too much about the shiney bits not lasting long as we all are all enthusiasts about the brand on here and are a bit like a small family, as for paying too much, i dont think so, yove got to remember that these bikes were in the region of £2-3+k when new. you arent alone in owning one in the uk, though they are a pretty rare sight on the trails, ive only ever seen mine when ive been out. heres a pic of mine
hope you enjoy it and welcome to the family, by the way mine weighs 27lbs and has 5" travel front and 6" travel out back. not bad for a 7 yr old bike.

Thanks guys
. Id always rather be out on something different, rather than a follow the sheep atitude to life.
I ski on some Salomon streetracers, which are rarely seen on the slopes, For trackdays I have a mazda 323 4x4 turbo, windsurf on a Old skool Mistral Flow..
Jeff Hop.- I see a front and rear disk setup, might need to bend your ear on that, maybe meet up at Aston Manor. Im old and trying to ward off lardiness, so nowhere near 'fast' any more.

Dude,
A man after my own heart... In fact I may be a little older school... (pronounced Dinosaur)
Proflex 856's, Evil Kneissel 207 GS boards, BIC Electric Rock & Presto (Sold the Woodwind board!), but no track car. (It would be an '84 Quattro Turbo...)
