There's 6 feet of snow in the front yard.  Holed up in the dark basement, waiting for spring, parts, and riding weather to arrive...what to do....

Blimey ! 6 feet of snow! and my missus won't even go cycling here in the UK until "the weather warms up a bit"!

But if she's nice to me, I'm planning on building an Oz to match the geometry of her £150 "CycleKing" 45lb Steel Downhill Monster that she bought, "because it fits me". Hopefully then she'll see the difference a quality bike makes!

We just make up any excuse to ride.  This past weekend it was Greg's Birthday.

Didn't race.  Had to work.  Busy time of the year for me.  Missed last year's first race too because of work.  :(

It never gets too cold to ride here.  Here's a demo tape Vish and his partner put together about the Islands.

I did go once, before my MTB'ing days. Spent a week on Oahu on the way back from 6 months in New Zealand. Remember the awesome green mountains in the interior...

I just got a balaclava and gloves for myself after I got studded tires for my birthday!
But otherwise I just set the trainer up in my dorm room.

Cold, tell me about it. It was below +30 degrees (celcius) today. Absolutely freezing.

Seriously, I worry more about the heat seeing we don't have the white stuff fall from the sky here. I hate summer, too hot, dry, with too many things that slide around and bite. Bring on winter.

??????? Oh, I get it!:-)

I just got a report that New Mexico is having it's coldest winter on record. With too much snow, people are hibernating. Maybe this global warming thing will even out somehow.

Tom Cruise is filming a movie in the Santa Susanna Mountains. The production crew had to build fake snow peaks on top of the hills. And we are having somewhat of a heat wave here. Go figure. And yes, I hate Tom Cruise, and have been yelling at the security people when they block the trail when I am riding. I guess I am jaded.

Nice foggy morning about to turn into a swampy sauna after lunch. Better ride now.
