Got 2007 xtr shifters on my 957 and really like being able to change up rear (to smaller cog) with thumb or forefinger - find I use the finger most of the time. Really pleased 'cos that's what I was used to with the old thumb under bar, finger on top of bars set up on my other bikes.

cheers

That's king of funny because the reason I give people as to why i ride Campy on the road and SRAM off the road is because the shifting styles are the simular.  With SRAM you can grab as many gears as you want up or down, instantly.  On my Campy Ergopowers I can push the thumb button down and up-shift as many gears as I want.  I am limited to 3 down shifts at a time with the little lever behind the brake lever though.  But as far as downshifting while braking I thought that was possible with the grip shifters.  I think I do it.  But I'm not a big S fan, so take it as you may.
