Help with 855
« on: March 03, 2007, 02:18:47 pm »
I just found this great forum and many thanks to those who put it together and maintain it.

I have an 855 that has rocks for MCU's.  I obtained some new elastomers from K2.  They have a number 13943-2 on them.  they are 1.75 inches long (45mm if you float on that side).  I think that the originals are two different sizes.  Does anyone know if these will work and if I need to cut one down?  If so to what length? Does it matter front , rear, etc.  Any info you have would be useful....thanks.

you are right the originals had two different lengths.I would try the new ones as they are. There are some alternatives to K2 elastomers now, there is a guy SLIM who has made some, and I think Callan aka RDI has some too.

You mean Callum at Rapiddescentscotland (www.rapiddescentscotland.co.uk) ;-)

Slim's ordering in some soon so get your order in. He also hangs out at www.retrobike.co.uk - you may be better getting hold of him there.
