Girvin vs Noleen?

I have an almost new set of Noleen forks on the way for my wifes bike, but then I got to thinking.....
Since she doesnt ride that much.....

Should I put the noleen on my 855 and put the girvin from my bike on hers?  What are the major differences in the way the forks react to bumps?  In other words is one superior to the other and why?

Do you mean Noleen Crosslinks vs Girvin Vectors?

If so I have both and can tell you a bit about them, but won't waste your time and mine doing that just now if that's not what you meant!!

Thats exactly what I meant.  I purchased a crosslink for my wifes attack that has what I think is an old rock shox quadra.  So I found what looked like an almost brand new Noleen fork on ebay to put on it for $90 shipped.  So I have that fork on it's way here now, and I have the Girvin Vector that came on the 855.  Should I put the Noleen on the 855 and put the old one on the attack?  I guess what I am asking is which one has the better ride?

Crosslink should be better as it has just a bit more travel versus the Vector.  Both handle very well.  Crosslink should be a bit more durable too due to the one piece upper and lower links, whereas the Vector has a liight one piece upper link and a two piece lower unless it has received the single piece upgrade!

Anyway, my vote, the Crosslink on the 855 and the Vector on the Attack.

That is just the kind of reply Im looking for.  I would appreciate some more input as to what makes the noleen superior, even though I was leaning that way anyway!

the main reason the crosslink is superior is the noleen shock is superior to the elastomers...by far.The rosslink has less J path than the vectors.The vectors look cooler tho i reckon..The nollen will require you buy a new headset and a new stem but you should be able to swap your stuff straight over to the atack

I prefer the feel of the crosslinks and the look of the vector!! May strip the former to look like the latter yet!!! Get best of both worlds!

Seriously though, the crosslinkis just 'feel' better and have longer travel, they feel a bit more professional whereas the vector feels more like something a talented engineer knocked up in his (?her) workshop.

The J path is one of the things that I fell in love with on my original 756.  Will the noleen still feel similar when hitting bump and roots head on?  

I just received the noleen today BTW, oh its sweet.  Unfortunately, I got the fork and a bag of parts with it from the seller.  Are there any schematics for this?
