Any plastic washers on your 957 strut?
«

Hi folks...
When I took apart my 957 strut to do some shock maintenance, I found one plastic washer on the steel spacer (part #7 as found at
http://cynosure.homedns.org/proflex/resources/97_spc957_strut.pdf
).
I'm wondering if this is an optional part. It appears so, but perhaps I should find a new one just to replace the one I had (which is rather worn out).
cheers

Hmmm, well perhaps I should just try assembling it and see whether or not I still need the spacer.

It definitely needs a spacer.
I used some rubber O-rings. They fit well, and won't wear much in that location.
