Replacement rear shock for 5000
« on: June 20, 2006, 02:24:51 pm »
This is related to my last post.  I am thinking of replacing the NR-4 on my 5000.  If you own a 5000, have you changed the rear shock?  If so, what shocks have best fit the frame.  I do not want to modify the frame at all.

Thanks

I inserted a manitou swinger 3way air.
190mm i2i
44mm travel which brings some 100mm travel on the rear.
Had to build an adapter to bring it to 209mm i2i.

perfect match with the 5000.
strongly recomended!

better than my old nr-2 (despite 115mm travel) or the original smart shock (88mm travel on the rear)
