Old ODS shock
« on: April 02, 2006, 09:04:16 am »
Does anyone out there have an old ODS shock rolling around in the tool box that they want to get rid of?  I am playing around with upgrading the rear shock of an old 656 on the cheap.  the one I have has a bad seal.

Well... actually I do. It needs MCU's or a spring.
I do have a spring or two you might want with it, depending on your weight. This shock has almost zero use, but was stored in a garage for 8 years. It still returns to full extension on it's own, so it's in decent shape. Very clean, too.

I was going to do an exploratory on it and change the oil, but I didn't have the right pin spanner. Too many other things on the list ahead of it...

If the 656 and 856 have the same leverage ratios, I can pretty well narrow in on the right spring given rider weight and style.

Can't remember where you are. CONUS I hope, cuz the last few packages to the UK were painful.
