View of lockout for Razorback needed...
« on: April 27, 2003, 11:24:57 pm »
I have a 2001 Raz Team and I am installing the lockout cable system on the bike. I bought the bike 2nd hand and want to see if I have all the parts necessary. Does anyone have a photo or a link to a website. I have checked the K2 site and there is no view of the lockout assembly.

i wish you would have posted this last week. i just installed the fox upgrade on mine or i would have posted a pic for ya...but heres how i had mine set up.

i had my lever set to the right side of my bar. seemed more comfortable on that side.

the first piece of housing followed the housing for the front derail. cable. i put it into the second cable boss in on from the left side of the bike.

the cable went straight back to the same boss in the back.

the second piece of housing was really short. it went right down to the shock.

it was sticking at first. i shortened the second piece of housing until the cable moved free.

i hope this helps you out. let me know how you do.

1st: The short piece that runs from the last boss to the shock: do you put end caps on both ends? I know you need an end cap on the boss but do you need a special cap that sits in the shock or will a reg end cap suffice?

2nd: I have a bolt, black washer and nut that secures the cable to the lockoout lever. How are the pieces oriented with the cable?

Thanks for the response!

no problem with the reply. always happy to be helpful.

does the nut have a shoulder on it?

if i remeber correctly i had a regular end cap on both sides of the last piece....but dont quote me.... try it both ways and see which way works better.
