Andrew...

If I remember right you're under 200#? If you plan to stick with disks on Frank, I should send you my Vector EXP forks with the disk mounts. (I just "won" a set of Noleen Mega Air's on ebay... $36! [smiley=nod.gif])

If you're going with V-brakes, it looks like ediscount bikes is still selling some EXP's on ebay. I've even seen some really loooong ones for you. They're selling for way cheap, too. $50 - $100.
Go man go.

$36?!?!?!??! Oh, NIIIIIIICE job, Will. Congrats, you lucky bastar.. GUY! :-[

Now what's this about EXP's? Are they lighter than my ELt's? I haven't thrown them out. I was just going to re-use them. [smiley=blankstare.gif] Did I miss something with your post there?

I weigh in at 155 nakey.

Now stop reminding me of Mega-Air's! They're too perfect!!!!!!

It wouldn't be a thread I started if it didn't get waaay off topic, now would it? [smiley=laughing.gif] [smiley=nod.gif] [smiley=disbelief.gif] [smiley=blankstare.gif]

[smiley=turtle.gif] :-[ (sorry, this is my last Corona for the night [smiley=beer.gif] I promise)

I weighed in my long EXP's at 3.75# - with the disk brake mount.

Only 2-1/2" of travel, but they go EXACTLY where you point them. Just as stiff as can be. Brake dive is a bit too exciting for a heavier guy like me, but I like 'em for XC.

Didn't know you had ELT's... they're probably identical.

ediscount has good pictures on their ebay auctions.

Yup, first page of my gallery. You don't remember me blabbing about MULA? I did enough of it. [smiley=laughing.gif]

My ELT's weight in about the same as your's with the Cloud Nine and adaptor. I'm not saving a lot of weight, really. Looking at number's and looking at the fun factor are what have me in my "predicament".

Anyways, I don't know what i'm going to do right now. I've got all winter to figure it out.

I've got all winter to figure it out.

Figure this out. While my Oz is torn down to be "Simonized" I have transfered all my lightweight components to my 957 with the Smart(not)forks. I had my fastest ride in years last night. Cut usual ride time by 10%. I would never take it on some knarlier trails, but I was flying.

Oh GREAT! Make it harder, why don't'cha! [smiley=laughing.gif]

Knarlier trails versus flying - this is what I must figure out. There's fast, then there's fun and then there's.... my head hurts again. The thought of a 25 pounder is what hurts the most. I think.

:-[ [smiley=turtle.gif] [smiley=blankstare.gif] :o [smiley=worry.gif] (no, these weren't bottle-induced this time)

Oh Andrew... what a long cold winter of cyclospection ahead of you.

BTW - just got my $36 Noleen Mega Air.. It's absolutely a beautiful fork. Rock simple and an honest to goodness 3 pound fork.

Not to make you too unsettled, but this should take my way big/no paint 856 below 26 pounds - with zero bling bling. Lovin' it.

Gotta go wrap Terry's swingarms in undershorts and get packed for England... [smiley=nod.gif]

Also BTW, it was 65 degrees this afternoon. Nice riding weather. Y'all c'mon downa Texas, ya heah?

OUCH! OWw oww oww! Geez, at least be nice and kick me in the nuts - it would hurt less! [smiley=laughing.gif]

Yeah, you ain't kidding about long cold winter, Will. I was looking at 29er's today. :-[

Then I started tripping out with a cool one-off project. Retro, but with new technology incorporated.

(big sigh) Sometime's too many options aren't a good thing. [smiley=worry.gif]

Have a GREAT trip, eh! Don't forget the UMBRELLA! :P
