Here it is. Still needs some decent tires, a more supple shock, and pedals, but I rode it this morning and was nice.

TERRY!!!!!!!!!!!   YEA BABY!

Its about time too...I been waiting for these first photos for how long now?  Haha – Not many 957s on Ebay since then too…excellent find!

Brilliant man!  Just Awesome!  That is one SLICK machine...I LOVE the black on polish colors - don't you?

I believe that the 957 is the coolest of all Proflex bikes…and not because I own one…but because back in the day (1997) I used to look at the 957 in Proflex’s catalog and just start at it for hours…NO LIE…it was the great super machine I only dreamt about.  I still find it unreal that I own one – and I am sure some of these feelings you must share too Terry.

Honestly though…your 957 is SLICK – its too bad we can’t meet-up and ride together…the meeting of two 9 series…

NICE BIKE TERRY!!!!

(the frame size looks like a large)

Yep, it is a large.

Jinder, I lust for those green tires. Remember those? I too just stared at that MBA expose. I think I still have that issue boxed away in the garage. I should dig it out and just stare again.

Would be cool to ride together.

Terry.

I really like how your bike turned out. It looks almost as good as my Oz! (sorry, but I am partial to carbon.)

anyway, your polished alu frame looks stupendous, as do your rev-x wheels. like I said, a while back, I have riidden on mine for a while now, and so far, no problems.

now, do yourself a favor, and get some black car door edge protectors (they are self-adhesive and don't weigh much) and cut them to use as protectors for the edges of the blades (spokes) on your wheels. it will protect them from nicks, and you WILL thank me for this advice. if not, your new wheels may not last all that long.

in closing, have a great time on your new bike. if it works even half as good as it looks, you're in for the ride of your life!!

Jinder, Terry is in Cali. Bit of a drive. :o

So Terry, you went with "Monte" afterall, eh? Well it's a suiting name. I like the carbon wheels to match with the front and rear carbon pieces - very nice touch indeed! Enjoy!!!! [smiley=nod.gif]

Jinder,

Drive on down here bud!  LOL. I'll look for that mag tonight.

Dennis, I looked at that edge on the wheels. Wow they could hurt someone(me). I am going to consider black for the edging.

Andrew, yeah Monte is a name I like.

So I rode it on Sunday on a trail called Rocky Peak Road. Boy it was hot, even in the morning. The climb is about 1100 or so feet in 4 miles. Amazing how many people hike or bike in that heat without water. Anyway I make the climb, rest on the peak, and proceed the descent. After almost crashing a dozen times because of the heat, I slowed down towards the bottom. This chick was negotiating the trail slowly in front of me and man was she red. She had taken off her blouse as it was so hot, and she did not have any water with her. Of course I asked if she was OK and she said she needed some water. She wasn't pale so I could tell she was still hydrated. So I stopped and let her have a few drafts off my Camelback. She thanked me and she was on her way. Nice guy I am, huh? Ok, damsel in distress, hot day, and BLOUSE OFF!! Gotta stop.

Terry, that bike is so sweet that if I saw you riding down Rocky Peak on it, I'd take off my shirt, too.

I guess the bad news is that the sight of my bare torso causes sterility in lab mice, so maybe we shouldn't try it out.
