ok guys, REAL bike porn is a-comin'.

I just picked up my new/old Trek 930 tourer from my friendly LBS who built it up for me. I had it repainted and added fenders and custom painted Aerospoke wheels. It looks really amazing ( I think) and I will post pics as soon as I am able to take a couple. I hope the color comes through on your monitor, it's a beautiful official Ferrari silver blue.

Last year, a mother pulled up in front of the school where I teach in a 550 Maranello that was this color, and I instantly fell in love. with the car and esp. the color, the woman was a HUGE disappointment, fake blond and not good looking at all, wonder how she landed such a rich husband.

anyway, I knew I had to have something that color, so being on a teacher's salary, I decided to turn my old Trek into a cool sorta retro tourer. anyway, I will post pics soon, I promise.

ok, I finally took a couple pics of my new/old Trek 930 touring project bike. It started out as a stock old Trek 930 that I rode for many years off road before retiring it.

I decided to revive it last year as a loaded touring bike. It has been custom painted by Dave Sem in Austin, Texas. He also painted the logo on my Calfee bike and painted my Giant carbon HT for me. His work is really amazing.

Please don't drool too much, although I suspect there are those who won't like it. Oh well. I LOVE it!!
The color is Ferrari silver blue, and yes, its a real Ferrari color, as used on the 550 Maranello. It is a beautiful color which can only be truly appreciated in person.

Let me know what you think (only if you like it, I appreciate honesty, but I don't take criticism well).

Hi, This will be my first time on this site, so hello to every one! I dont know much about bikes or mountain bike riding, but am trying to learn as much as I can, so, with that said, I will be posting pics (if I can) of my k2 proflex 4500 that I picked up last year at my local bike shop here in Philly, it is totally stock and was brand new when purchased,(2004) I paid $1200.00, I dont know if thats a good or bad price but they (at the bike shop) said it was, I hope that you guys can tell me if I made the right choice, will post those photos sometime today.

I don't know if you've paid a good price as I'm in England,but you've make a great choice in the bike you've bought,everyone on this site who has a 4500/5500/Oz-X/Oz-M (there all the same frame)love  em,you can checkout all the similar bikes in the gallery section,enjoy your new bike .
